Arnošt Vašíček is a Czech writer and screenwriter who mainly deals with cryptozoological phenomena, mysterious archaeological finds, mysterious phenomena and the search for traces of extraterrestrial civilizations.
He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Charles University in Prague, majoring in film and television journalism. He lives in Ostrava.
He has so far visited more than 80 countries on five continents during his research trips. He stayed with the primitive Vedda tribes in Sri Lanka, the Dayaks in Borneo, the Danis in Irián Jaya, the Mentawais on the island of Siberut and others. He was demonstrably the first to film near the village of Nuova Tacna in Peru, where the sachamama serpentine monster appeared. He captured not only her trail, but also eyewitness accounts. Among the Dogon tribe in Mali, he documented the dwellings of the Andambulu dwarf people. In Malaysia, he watched the Chini lake water dragon and the mawas man of the forest.
So far, he has written 45 books, the vast majority of which have become bestsellers in the Czech Republic. At the same time, he shot more than 80 documentary films. In addition to non-fiction, he is also the author of more than a dozen mystery thrillers. Most of them were successfully filmed by Czech Television.
